Instructional leadership support for school leaders

Susan Santee Peery, President

Everyone needs a coach. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a basketball player, a tennis player, a gymnast, or a bridge player…. We all need people who will give us feedback. That’s how we improve.  ~Bill Gates

Susan created ELC3 to provide instructional leadership support to school leaders as they build collaborative cultures focused on the work that matters most. The principalship can be an isolated profession with few networking opportunities.  Susan leans into her core values of authenticity and making a difference as she connects, collaborates, and coaches with school leaders—serving as a thought leader, accountability partner, and/or critical friend. Her vision is to provide responsive services over time and create a shift in existing practices.

Often principals struggle with time, priorities, and building a collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement.  Susan supports the principal in building systems, structures, and processes to move the work forward. She frames improvement work using BRAID™ (Best Practices, Resources, Adult Learning, Intervention, and Data). When these five strands are woven tightly together, it is impossible for any child to “fall through the cracks”. However, this is easier said than done and as leaders, we also need support systems. She is excited and passionate about supporting leaders in their change efforts to improve schools and empower others to lead, so children, teachers, and leaders thrive.
